Muy completa y sin fallos en todo lo que necesitamos a lo largo del viaje.
Quizá faltaría el metro que ha abierto hace unos meses, pero es por poner una queja.

Although it’s barely a month into its print run, it’s a little disappointing that many new establishments have been left out. You’re better off researching places to eat and stay and how to get around from other online sources. That aside, the historical and cultural information are useful (evergreen stuff including ‘old’ tourist attractions).

Ik wil steeds de lonely planet vermijden, omdat iedereen die koopt. Maar ja, het is nu éénmaal het beste.

Very outdated as of September 2017, especially re. prices - recommend getting the latest edition instead.
well written and complete, Lonely Planet is always top quality
Used this fairly thoroughly & I do find LP to be one of the most comprehensive travel guides to places. I still yearn for a few more photos to assist in being able to know what I'm looking at & this particular edition is now getting a little dated.

Explores the geography, history, government, economy, people, and culture of Iran.
Explore diverse landscapes, travel back in time, and discover unique populations, all without leaving your chair! Start your international tour in Iran, land of the Elburz and Zagros Mountains, the Asiatic cheetah, Islamic tradition, and so much more. This colorful, informative book introduces IranÍs history, geography, culture, climate, government, economy, and other significant features. Sidebars, maps, fact pages, a glossary, a timeline, historic images and full-color photos, and well-placed graphs and charts enhance this engaging title. Countries of the World is a series in Essential Library, an imprint of ABDO Publishing Company.
Iran has long been regarded as an international pariah state in some parts of the international community. However, its negative image in many countries disguises its history of tourism and rich cultural and natural heritage. Following the July 2015 nuclear deal and the reduction in sanctions, Iran is focusing on international tourism as a means to generate economic growth in addition to its substantial domestic tourism market. Given the significance of tourism in the Middle East and in international politics, as well as restrictions on international mobility, this volume brings together the first contemporary collection of research on tourism in Iran. Written by experts based both within and outside of Iran, the chapters engage with a number of crucial issues including the importance of religion, the role of women in society, sustaining Iran’s cultural heritage, Iran’s image and the resistive economy to provide a benchmark assessment of tourism and its potential future in a troubled political environment. The book will undoubtedly be of interest not only to those readers who focus specifically on Iran but also those who seek a wider understanding of Iran’s role in the region and how tourism is utilised as part of national and regional economic development policies.
Describes the people, customs, geography, and climate of the region, recommends hotels and restaurants, looks at points of interest, and suggests security precautions
